At the sweet age of seventeen, Bernadette finds herself pregnant and abandoned by the first boy she ever loved. In order to protect the family's reputation, Bernadette's parents demand Alex to marry her. This marriage, however, is not possible, for Alex has fled to another country. For compensation, Alex's parents offer their rebellious son Tato to take his brother's place.
