This documentary is about the last two Dominican friars and the impact they and their fellow Dominican brothers had for the past 82 years on the history and development of central South Texas, and how their presence assisted many Mexican-Americans struggle against racism, which bespeaks of the experiences of many in the Southwest. It's the universal story of people grappling to accept each other as equals. The Mexican-American experience traces its roots to the Spanish Conquest--a wrestling match of greed and brutality against equality and Salvation--as well as to the story of Cain and Abel. This film unfolds in interviews, special effects and graphics, music and original poetry.
