Living in a Brutal and Hostile world, Jamie, his girlfriend Mia and there baby boy Leo, must survive day by day in a world ravaged by a Horrific Virus that re-animates the dead. Jamie goes out scavenging for food, water and parts for Mia's van that she is trying to fix up so they can finally leave there small compound on the outskirts of Liverpool City centre, a hot-spot for the infected with the surrounding area teeming with them. While Jamie is out, Mia finally gets the van working, when she encounters a stranger at their gate shouting for help, pleading with Mia to let her and her sick child inside. Mia opens the gate, but the stranger gets the drop on her, and reveals that she is a member of the SkullZ gang, a local band of Lawless Survivalist's that take what they want and kill anyone in their way. Jamie returns to the yard to find the van is gone, along with his baby boy. But Mia is still there, lying on the ground, beaten to death. Jamie cradles her in his arms, but as he mourns, she starts moving, Mia is infected and wakes up, there is a violent struggle on the ground as Mia tries to kill Jamie. But Jamie is forced to squeeze her neck tight and Kills her by snapping her neck. The next morning Jamie wakes up to hear a noise from the gate, it's the SkullZ gang, they've returned to take the yard. Led by a man called Price the SkullZ gang are intimidating just to look at, they explain to Jamie that they want the yard for themselves and will promise not to kill him if he leaves, but Jamie can't forgive them for Killing Mia and taking his Baby. So, he tells them to come into the yard and take it from him. But Jamie is leading them into a trap...
